![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() System Shock basically in my opinion is so unique because when they made it they covered a wide range of Science Fiction that covers a lot of potential ground, that today especially you hear certain scientists or scholars debate over (power of AI) and because it's such a powerful expression and depiction of this topic at hand which is about power and control (gone astray) we can't have a similar game like this because ultimately it would just be too copy and paste compared to the original, hence I say it's a topic that's powerful on by itself and has potentially covered a lot of ground in that which it 'oversees' things, again meaning: you can't duplicate it because it's so unique and original but also real in what it portrays, at least in the ways of possibilities and potentials I think that making another similar game like this would just defy the purpose of this one and since it's such a powerful depiction or experience. Games like Stalker and Metro series come into mind but those are generally considered more 'corridor' shooters in a sense and are more about the individual ea the player than anything else but then also something like Arx Fatalis is I think similar to System Shock but, In an indirect way related to gameplay: Wizardry 8 but it's similar in ways of it being a blend of FPS/RPG be it though a turn based game it's still something that reminds me of System Shock but it's a different type of game where you control over a party not necessarily just one person.īesides that, we can't really find a similar related game to System Shock 1 or 2 unless they were kind of like Dungeon Crawlers, because System Shock 1 (and 2) could be considered a 'Dungeon Crawler' in Space, and since dungeon crawlers aren't necessarily a popular type of game anymore I don't think something like this is plausible today. ![]()
